Power BI performance optimization and data quality

If reports load slowly, refreshes take hours or numbers don’t match, we address the root cause, from the model and DAX to the gateway and the data source.

What we do

Model analysis

With VertiPaq Analyzer and DAX Studio we review model size, column structure and relationships and remove unnecessary load.

DAX optimization

We analyze slow measures using query plans and make them more efficient and readable.

Refresh and gateway

We fix long-running or failing refreshes, gateway configuration and incremental refresh setup.

Report page performance

Using Performance Analyzer we find bottlenecks per visual and page and speed up the user experience.

Data quality and reconciliation

We identify differences between source systems and reports and set up lasting checks and alerts.

Best practice audit

With Tabular Editor’s Best Practice Analyzer we audit the model against enterprise standards and deliver a prioritized improvement list.

What you gain

  • Reports that open in seconds and happier users
  • Shorter refresh times and lower capacity load
  • Consistent numbers leadership can trust for decisions
  • A documented analysis of what is slow and why

Frequently asked questions

Didn’t find the answer you need? Send us your question and we’ll get back to you shortly.

Ask a question

Why does our report load slowly?

The most common causes are oversized models, bidirectional and complex relationships, inefficient DAX measures and too many visuals on one page. We measure to find the real cause.

Do you rebuild reports from scratch to optimize them?

Usually not. We first prioritize the improvements with the biggest impact; in most cases targeted changes to the model and DAX are enough.
